We are delighted to have you join us for this special evening as we come together to celebrate the incredible care provided every day at Shore Medical Center. On behalf of our Board, clinical staff and support team, we thank our generous sponsors and gala attendees who have once again made our annual gala a huge success. It is because of this continued support that Shore Medical Center has been able to care for the community for nearly 85 years, evolving over the years into the state-of-the-art medical facility it is today.We are also incredibly proud to recognize and celebrate our 2024 honoree, Leonard Galler, MD, FACS. Dr. Galler%u2019s commitment to his patients, his team, and the community he has served for four decades is truly inspiring. As a general and vascular surgeon, Dr. Galler has touched countless lives with his skilled hands and compassionate care. Today he serves as Shore%u2019s Clinical & Administrative Surgical Department Chairman. In this role, he was instrumental in bringing third-year medical student education to Shore from PCOM, and he helped bring the da Vinci Surgical robot to our hospital. We thank him for his commitment to Shore and our patients.Shore remains on the cutting edge of technology thanks to the community%u2019s continued support, the vision of our Board, and the hard work of each and every one of our staff. In addition to the da Vinci Xi, we have recently installed a new MRI, and upgraded our hospital pharmacy with a medication dispensing robot and a state-of-the-art sterile compounding area. Our Cancer Center welcomed a new True Beam Linear Accelerator, an upgraded third-floor pharmacy, and enhanced medical records technology.Thanks to your generosity, we have also made significant improvements in our hospital%u2019s infrastructure, both inside and out, to enhance the quality of care we provide. Soon, every patient room at Shore Medical Center will be fully renovated, ensuring a comfortable and healing environment for our patients.For generations, Shore Medical Center has provided the community with the highest level of care while remaining an independent, non-profit hospital.
