NJEDA – NORTH TO SHORE FESTIVAL

To help bring New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy’s vision of a statewide festival celebrating the state’s arts, creativity, innovation, and diversity to life, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) asked Masterpiece to collaborate on the North to Shore Festival.

Hosted by three cities – Atlantic City, Asbury Park, and Newark – over three weeks in June 2023, the North To Shore festival brought together dozens of venues across the state, featuring over 150 events, from headliner concerts and art exhibits, to tech symposiums and community events.

Working closely with NJEDA’s internal communications and marketing team, Masterpiece helped develop the festival’s name and designed its vibrant logo, the elements of which capture New Jersey’s legacy in the arts and innovation, as well as the multifaceted nature of the festival.

Our collaboration with NJEDA, as well as North to Shore’s various partners throughout the state, also included creating a short video featuring the Governor and First Lady to be shown at the participating venues, serving as an introduction to festivalgoers and to connect all the various pieces of the three-city festival.

Utilizing elements that encapsulated the festival’s excitement and energy, Masterpiece created a concept for the video that correlated to the festival’s existing tagline (“Too Big for One City. Too Big for One Weekend”) and developed a high-level storyboard and voiceover script. The graphics, imagery, and editing our creative team executed ensured that the video captured the vision of the festival’s organizers to celebrate New Jersey’s creative spirit.
